O'Reilly Progeny Feature Of Karaka Draft

Three representatives of International stallion O'Reilly are the feature of the White Robe Lodge draft for the 2009 Karaka Yearling Sales.

Their Premier Sale offering consists of a colt by O'Reilly from the Group-winning mare Perceptible and a filly by the same sire from another very good racemare in De Montfort. Both mares have made good starts to their broodmare careers, with Perceptible's only foal to race being Fortune Spirit, a winner at Riccarton at his only career start, while De Montfort has left two winners including the highly-promising Wanganui mare Our Sista.

The Selct Sale consignment is headed by an O'Reilly colt from Crimson Gown, a six race-winning mare in metropolitan Australia from the Princess Mellay family.

Others in this Sale are an Ishiguru colt that is a half-brother to two stakeswinners as well as promising stayer Yamanna: an attractive Scaredee Cat colt who is a half-brother to the highly-regarded Sharp Princess; a colt by Australian sire Monashee Mountain, the sire of La Montagna, a Stradbroke Handicap winner and White Robe Lodge's own smart sprinting mare Cherry Creek and a colt by first-season sire Keeninsky, that is closely-related to 2000 Guineas winner, The Pooka.

Two Yamanin Vital colts from the Dennis Brothers very successful family make up the offerring in the Festival Sale.
