Established in 1956, the proven thoroughbred nursery White Robe Lodge has 300 acres situated at the northern end of the Taieri Plains and enjoys a unique climate, sheltered by the surrounding hills to the North and East.
Another part of the White Robe Lodge establishment is Ardgown, which consists of 175 acres of good quality pasture. It lies 5km to the West.
The latest additional property Middlemarch gives us another 180 acres, which has proved to be a quality wintering farm for our stock.

In its time White Robe Lodge has stood two Australasian champion sires, Mellay and Noble Bijou. The names of these two sires lives on in their daughters, who have continued to produce top class racehorses. Noble Bijou is the only sire in the history of New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeding to have won both the general and broodmare sires list in the same year.
After 50 years in the thoroughbred business, we are proud to still be producing top class racehorses.
