Raise The Flag’s half brother....
Champs Elysees, a half brother to White Robe Lodge stallion, Raise The Flag, sired Lustrous, winner of the listed Michael Seely Memorial Stakes (1600m) at York on Friday (16/05/14).
Champs Elysees is also the sire of Xcellence (group three Prix Imprudence at three) and Avenue Gabriel(listed race winner at two) from his first crop. Champs Elysees (by Danehill), a brother to champion sire, Dansili, was the leading first season sire for Europe last year with 13 individual winners.
Dansili has sired 55 group race winners (15 gr one).
Raise The Flag is the sire of 3 two year old starters including two place getters Princess Brook and Hear Me Roar from his first crop this season and others are showing considerable promise. His two year old son out of Stage Flash has won his two jump outs from the stable of Alan Sharrock. His progeny are spread around other stables in Australasia including Darren Weir in Victoria and many other New Zealand stables. His progeny have been sought at sales with a top price of $147,500 for a filly ex Emerald Fire at the select sale at Karaka in February.
