Tedesco Flys..
Tedesco won a maiden jumpout over 800m for the White Robe Lodge stable at Wingatui today (06/05/2014).
He is a 3yr-old by Gallant Guru from Flight All Nite owned by Mosgiel breeder, Michael Casey. Flight All Nite is a half sister by Personal Escort to Flight Point (by Pins) who won the 2008 Canterbury Gold Cup and Great Easter Handicap when raced by Casey from the Anderton stable.
Tedesco has been entered for the Wairio meeting at Ascot Park on Sunday.
High Forty and Harry Hill, the jumping hopes for the Anderton stable this winter, had an outing at the jumpouts. The pair have not raced since August. Harry Hill finished second to dashing winner, Enchanter over 1200m on the heavy track.
"Harry Hill (two wins on the flat) has half a ticket for hurdling. They have had 12 or 13 weeks work and will come on quickly with the jumput and a race at Wairio,'' said Brian Anderton.
High Forty won a steeplechase at Washdyke last winter and subsequently finished fourth in the Koral Steeplechase at the Grand National meeting for Brian and Lorraine and Tamworth owner, Terry Burke.
The stable apprentice Courtney Barnes, who contested the apprentices series at Te Awamutu on Monday, will be back in the South Island to ride at Ashburton on Friday.
