Ninth major win for Lowry

White Robe Lodge apprentice Jacob Lowry won his ninth group or listed race when he rode Boots 'N' All in the listed $50,000 Speight's Timaru Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday (January 27).

Seven of his gr and listed wins have been at Riccarton with three different trainers involved.

Boots 'N All (Perfectly Ready - Steel Stilettos gelding) is trained at Riccarton by Lance Robinson for Dunsandel breeders Bruce Sheat and Cheryl Wilson. Robinson rode The Red Express to win the Timaru Stakes in 1999 for trainer Grant Laursen.

Lowry had his first major win in the gr three $100,000 Winter Cup at Riccarton in 2015 as a 17-year-old on Timy Tyler, trained by Kelvin Tyler. He has won three group three and two listed races there for the WRL trainers Brian and Shane Anderton.

2016 gr three $80,000 SI Breeders' Stakes on Coulee.

2016 listed $50,000 Easter Cup (1600m) on Tommy Tucker.

2015 listed $50,000 Timaru Cup on Tommy Tucker.

2015 gr three $100,000 Winter Cup at Riccarton on Timy Tyler.

The Diamond syndicate have sponsored a race on White Robe Lodge Weight-For-Age day at Wingatui next Saturday (February 3, 2018). The syndicate have a get - together the same day. The Diamond syndicate, managed by Sharyn Anderton, was formed 20 years ago to race horses out of White Robe Lodge and have won 51 races. They share in the ownership of Coulee, who is engaged in the feature race. Coulee won last year when the race was a handicap.The Woolshed Wednesday and White Flash syndicates are also in the ownership of Coulee.
