White Robe Lodge proprietor Brian Anderton has taken satisfaction with providing his grandson, apprentice jockey, Jacob Lowry with two winning rides on Valiant this month. The 16yr-old Jacob had his first win on Valiant at Washdyke (10/10/2014) and followed up with success at Wingatui on Thursday (30/10/2014). Jacob is apprenticed to Brian, the trainer with son Shane of Valiant. Brian and Lorraine Anderton race Valiant, whom they bred from a mating of WR stallion, Gallant Guru and Enzed.

Gallant Guru sired Ruby's Rose to win later in the day for WR when she beat stablemate, Blue 'N' Gold by a nose. It rounded off a great day for WR with resident stallion Raise The Flag represented by his first winner, Princess Brook.
