Things Heating Up At White Robe Lodge - Alflaila Is Almost Here

Alflaila Alflaila
It was a fresh start here at White Robe Lodge this morning, but things are soon to hot up thanks to the impending arrival of our new stallion Alflaila, who is now only days away from arriving in New Zealand.
We couldn’t be more pleased to be offering a son of Dark Angel to New Zealand breeders and the decision to actively chase this sire-line is looking to be vindicated as each week rolls by.

On Saturday we saw War Machine, a New Zealand bred son of Harry Angel (by Dark Angel) take out the Gr.1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) in emphatic fashion.
Dark Angel is now looking to replicate his sire Acclamation as a sire of sires.
Harry Angel is certainly making an impact in Australia with three Group One winners. Notably, each has excelled over diverse distances of 1100m (Private Harry), 1400m (War Machine) and 1600-2000m (Tom Kitten).
Harry Angel’s performers are all out of very different types of mares and he certainly doesn't seem to be confined to one sire line, despite being a good out-cross given he is free of Danehill for the Aussies.

Acclamation is the sire of 68 stakes winners including current Global Star Romantic Warrior and his lineage will last for decades to come thanks to sire-sons Dark Angel (111 stakes winners) and Mehmas (42 stakes winners), both of whom continue to be hugely popular in Europe.
We can’t wait to have Alflaila here to join our stallion ranks and breeders are sure to be impressed with his striking looks and a pedigree that is winning the world over.
We’re delighted that he is being supported by new and existing clients alike and if anyone would like to discuss matings, please feel free to give Wayne a call on +64 274988037

New Zealand bred horses have won 16 of the Group One races in Australia this season or 21 percent (we supply 7.7 percent of runners), so we know our horses can foot it with the best anywhere in the world.
